The Short Version

A customer's bolt-action came in after a house fire — heat-discolored bluing, scorched stock, scope optics fogged from the heat. Brought it back to fully functional and looking sharp.

A customer brought in his bolt-action after the rifle had survived a house fire. The metal was discolored from the heat, the stock surface was scorched, and the scope optics were fogged from the temperature shock. The action was sound — that's what he wanted saved.

Process: full tear-down and inspection. Confirmed the receiver, bolt, and barrel were structurally sound — no warping, no cracks, headspace still in spec. Stripped the heat-affected finish off all metal surfaces and refinished. Stock was sanded back, repaired, and refinished. Optics were replaced.

Function-tested and zeroed in before delivery. The rifle is back in service and ready for the next hunt — the customer's family heirloom, saved.

Kenneth will add more detail to this write-up — full process notes, what got saved vs replaced, and the final shoot test.
