About

Faith, Freedom, and Fine Work at the Bench

Meet the Owner

Kenneth Singmaster

Owner · Gunsmith · Fort Scott, KS

The shop was founded with a simple idea: if somebody trusts you with a firearm — whether it's their deer rifle, their carry gun, or their great-grandfather's hunting Mauser — you owe it to them to treat the work like it matters. No production-line gunsmithing. No farmed-out bench work. Every job comes across the same bench, same set of hands.

Kenneth personally handles every quote, every teardown, every test-fire. Whether it's a $35 headspace check on an estate-sale rifle or a multi-week custom project on a family heirloom, the job gets the time it needs — nothing more, nothing less.

What We Stand For

Our Mission

Committed to honoring God, defending freedom, and upholding personal responsibility by serving law-abiding citizens with high-quality firearms, trusted gunsmithing, and honest service.

Honor God

We work as if He's watching the bench — because He is. That means no shortcuts, no half-measures, and no handing back a firearm that isn't right.

Defend Freedom

The Second Amendment is a right, and a responsibility. We serve law-abiding citizens who understand both. Training, build quality, and proper function all matter.

Personal Responsibility

You know your firearm better than anyone else can. Our job is to help you maintain it, tune it, and keep it safe — so it serves you when it's needed.

What We Work On

Bolt-action hunting rifles. Modern sporting rifles — AR-15, AR-10, and variants. Handguns of all platforms. Shotguns — pump, semi-auto, over-under. Heritage rifles — lever guns, old Mausers, Winchester repeaters, and family rifles that have lived in a closet for thirty years.

Optics mounting, zero, bedding, detailed cleanings, and custom work across any platform. If you don't see your job listed on our services page, send photos — custom requests are common, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.
